The annual National AGA Professional Development Conference was held July 28 – 30, 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia. Several of our members were recognized at the closing banquet for their service to AGA.

Warren H. K. Lum, CPA, received a Group B Chapter Service Award “in recognition of his continuous, exemplary service as a chapter leader. A member since 1985, he has served as president and in many other chapter roles. He has built key relationships with chapter members, provided insight and direction by crafting leadership teams representing the experience of the past and the vision for the future — all in the interest of serving chapter members.”

Gerald Shea received a Regional Vice-President (RVP) Silver Award for his outstanding service as the Pacific Rim RVP. The Pacific Rim includes Hawaii, Guam and Japan.

Clarence T. Kuwahara, CGFM, CPA, Hawaii Chapter, (Retired) was presented a National President’s Award by AGA National President, Richards L. Fair, in recognition of his unwavering support of AGA at the chapter, regional and national levels over many decades and for his tireless efforts to bring top-quality education to government financial managers in Hawaii.”
